Three COVID19 vaccine thieves arrested

[Ghanacrimes.com]— Three persons named Stephen Dzisenu, Cosmos Allotey and Joseph Knight Gaisie have all been arrested by the National Security for allegedly stealing COVID19 vaccines belonging to the government.

Stephen Dzisenu, a 37-year-old Disease Control Officer of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, is reported to have stolen 36 vials of the COVID19 vaccine.

Cosmos Allotey, a 42-year-old Occupational Health and Safety Officer, is reported to have stolen vaccine from Stephen Dzisenu. It is reported that he was selling a jab for Ghc200 despite AstraZeneca selling on the world market for $4 (Ghc23.67).

Joseph Knight Gaisie, who works with Stephen Dzisenu has been arrested for abetment of crime.

The court refused to grant them bail and will hence reappear before an Accra Circuit Court on 1st April 2021.
