Yaw Fosu, a middle-aged woodworker, was shot by alleged robbers Wednesday morning at his home in Tema’s Community 25. At the Tema General Hospital, the carpenter is presently fighting for his life.
The attack took at about 2:30am, according to the wife and daughter who spoke with Starrfm.com.gh on Wednesday morning. “While I’m speaking to you, my father is fighting for his life. At dawn, they arrived and pushed down our gate. My father stepped outside, and when we were unable to resist them any longer due to their threats to fire, they instantly shot him in the forehead.
He quickly collapsed on the ground while heavily bleeding. However, the burglars fled when they realized the gunshot was drawing attention and left empty-handed, according to Doris Fosu, who described the incident to Starr News.
She claimed that her father was treated at the Tema General Hospital after being brought there with the aid of neighbors.
According to Starr News sources, if his condition has not stabilized, he might be transported to the 37 Military hospital. The family also claimed that a previous burglary attempt on their house, which they reported to the police, went unanswered.
