[Ghanacrimes.com] — Students of the Korle Bu School of Hygiene have staged a demonstration over the directive of the school’s principal to vacate the school. The students said they will not stop the demonstration until the principal rescinds his decision not to leave.
The principal, Isaac Newton Dzahene, was told to vacate the school premises after the students did a protest over payment of the non-payment of their allowances.
“So we’ve managed to negotiate with them to write the end of semester exams and the students proposed that and we agreed. Just yesterday when they had to start the exams, they brought a letter that they are suspending the exams. So what do we do again?”
According to the SRC of the school, since the school authorities have decided not to fight for the student’s allowance they took it upon themselves to fight for it and their refusal to write the exams was in response of their quest to get their allowance.
