[Ghanacrimes.com] — Michael Kwadwo Peprah, who is the president of the Concerned Small Scale Miners Association has been granted bail after his arrest by the Cyber Crime Unit of the Ghana Police Service. He was arrested in Kumasi after he made a Facebook post which the police deems as causes fear and panic.
Supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress beseeched the Nima Police Station and demanded his release. Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Communication Officer has described Mr. Peprah’s arrest as intimidation by the Akufo-Addo Bawumia led administration.
According to Mr. Peprah, the order for his arrest was given by Prof Frimpong-Boateng over how he had been exposed by Mr. Peprah over the criminal galamsey practices he has been supervising.
