After reportedly attempting to burgle a home in Kweikuma in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, a well-known house burglar in Sekondi was apprehended once more. On Monday, August 1, early in the morning, Abeiku, as he is called, was caught by several neighborhood residents when he attempted to burglarize a home and take some china doors and electrical connections.
He was interrogated while restrained to an electric pole and gave the response that he had gone there in search of firewood when asked why he had done what he had. The burglar, an ex-convict who had been imprisoned at an early age, had been visiting the cells ever since.
He has turned into a danger force to the neighborhood where he lives. In June 2022, the said burglar was suspected of ransacking a mechanical shop in Bakaekyir of which he was apprehended. His wrist was cut as a punishment by the apprehenders. As if this action would deter him from embarking on another burglary, it did not.
