A 22-year-old commercial motor rider (okada) named Agorsor Christian is accused of fatally stabbing one of his fellow riders in Abor, a town in the Keta Municipal District of the Volta Region. The culprit allegedly committed the purported act in an effort to pick a passenger before the deceased, GhanaCrimes.com has learned. Agbesi Davor, 33, passed away after being stabbed in the chest with a screwdriver by a coworker as he was traveling to the Abor Sacred Heart Hospital.
It came to a misunderstanding between the two riders at their parking terminal as to whose turn it was to choose a passenger first, according to Mr. Raphael Ahiable, the Assemblyman for the area, who spoke to the GhanaCrimes.com. To vent his rage, the suspect took out a screwdriver and stabbed the victim in the chest before fleeing.
Mr. Ahiable claimed that locals swiftly transported the deceased on a motorcycle. Initially, it was intended to transport him to Abor Hospital; however, he was hurried to a health center at Avenorpedo on the way there and passed away there, the source added. Ghanacrimes.com received confirmation of the occurrence from sources at the Abor Police Command.
According to the sources, the suspect allegedly left the scene before the police arrived. However, his father, Pastor Agorsor Gomez, later drove him to the police station. The suspect is currently being held, according to the police in Abor, as investigations continue. The deceased’s remains was then placed at the Sacred Heart Hospital Morgue in Abor for an autopsy.
