On the Spintex road, the personal driver of Jomoro MP Dorcas Affo-Toffey and another person were arrested by the police for a traffic violation and impeding an officer from executing his duty.
When police officers attempted to stop the MP’s driver for driving in the middle of the road with the vehicle’s siren on, he allegedly refused to stop. According to police sources, the MP in the car at the time told the driver not to stop when the policemen tried to pull them over.
When the lawmaker’s four-wheel vehicle was pursued and forced to stop, the passenger in the front seat allegedly verbally attacked the arresting officer and prevented him from executing his job. They were then apprehended and transferred to the Manet police station, where they are still being held.
