[Ghanacrimes.com] — A Ghanaian, Seth Owusu and a Burkinabe, Bashiru Pafadnam, have been granted bail for allegedly conspiring to steal $5.8million worth of gold. They are to provide sureties who earn at least Ghc1,000 a month.
The two are to reappear before the court on 7th October, 2020. A third accomplice, Abubakar Sadick, is currently on the run. The three suspects stole gold belonging to one Raymond Turckson Kobina, a businessman.
The three also conspired to ship the gold to Dubai awaiting prospective buyers. Pafadnam was seen at a gold refinery and this led to his arrest. His arrest led to the consequent arrest of Owusu.
The Police is currently on the hunt for the third accomplice.
