A diesel tanker has just caught fire in Effia a suburb of Takoradi in the Western Region.
An eye witness narrating the incidence to GhanaCrimes.com said the tanker which was trying to deposit fuel at Pacific filling Station could not enter the station’s compound in one single course. The vehicle lost control of its break when it tried going on reverse in order to enter the filling station and collided into another truck. The fuel Tanker immediately caught fire when it collided.
The incident happened in Effia, a suburb of Takoradi just at Pacific filling station closer to spice fm.
When the fire service and police arrived at the scene, residents of the area had already started fetching fuel from the tanker which had caught fire.
The people who were already fetching fuel from the tanker scene prevented the police and fire service personnel from entering the scene to ensure safety.
