The family of Patience Quaye, a 32-year-old cashier at the Twumasiwaa General and Specialty Medical Hospital, invaded the building on Thursday and demanded to know what had happened to their relative. The family of the single mother of one who worked at the business in Otinshie, Adenta Municipality, went to the police on Wednesday to inquire about her whereabouts, and they discovered her body in a store room. After arriving at the facility on Monday, March 6, 2023, for her night shift, Patience vanished.
The body was discovered on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, when the police helped break into the administration room where a foul smell was coming from after the family demanded to know where she was. The body’s position when it was discovered suggested that she may have been strangled, according to the family. Given that the rotting body was discovered close to the facility’s outpatients department and medical director’s office, the family believes there was foul play involved. The Adenta Municipal Assembly’s Presiding Member, who was there at the location when the police arrived and the body was found, described what happened to GHOne News.
“Officers from the Police Headquarters came and we were all here. A CID lady who was passing smelled an odour and she said, do you people have a mortuary here? Then I said, ah, this is the second time a security officer is asking this question, and they said no. Then the lady(CID officer) asked that they open that door, but I think they couldn’t find the key so they called someone to come and break the door. Lo and behold they found the lady dead.”
Even though there is a strong odor escaping from the crime scene, victims were still being treated, according to GHOne News Evelyn Araba Aidoo at the time the report was submitted.
