An Accra High Court ordered the driver who forced a woman to have oral sex with him after robbing her of her phone and GHS400 to remain in police detention. Francis Doe Kudjawu has entered a not guilty plea and is being held on allegations of robbery and indecent asassault.
The prosecution informed the court presided over by Justice Mrs. Mary Maame Ekue Nyanzuh that Kudjawu let his victim off the hook after an ejaculation. Kudjawu had previously attempted anal sex with the complainant but was unsuccessful in penetrating. On April 4, Kudjawu is anticipated to return to court. The accused individual must submit an alibi to support his claim that he was not there at the scene on the day of the incident, and the prosecution must submit its disclosures. The Police would be instructed by the Court to look into the accused’s alibi.
The complainant (name withheld) resides in Tema, according to the state’s case. The accused also lived in the neighbourhood, according to the prosecution. According to the report, the complainant visited her parents in Sakumono on March 29, 2020, and then left for home at about 9:45 p.m. According to the prosecution, the complainant drove her automobile and locked the gate after opening the gate to her home.
It said as the complainant returned to her car to put off the engine, she saw the accused “who was in a hooded sweatshirt scale the fence wall into the complainant’s compound. The accused who was wielding a kitchen knife ordered her (complainant) to come out of the car. The accused dragged the complainant out of the car. The complainant screamed for help, but no one came to her aid.” Prosecution said the accused dragged the complainant out of the car and ordered her to kneel and tore her dress at knife point.
According to the report, the accused made multiple efforts to have anal intercourse with the complainant but was unsuccessful. Hence, the accused gave the complainant orders to engage in oral sex with him until he ejaculated on the ground. Kudjawu allegedly took the complainant’s GHS1,500 Huawei P30 phone and GHS400 in cash at knifepoint. The nearest Domestic Violence and Victim’s Assistance Unit was notified by the complainant. According to the report, Kudjawu was detained on May 12, 2020, for a related offense, and the complainant was able to free him during an identification parade.
