CSIR boss denies sale of Katamanso lands

[Ghanacrimes.com] — The CSIR boss, Dr. E.D.O. Ansah has denied accusations that his institution is selling the institute’s Katamanso lands. According to Dr. Ansah, he has rather taken steps to save the asset from being sold.

According to the lawyers of CSIR, the lands are being encroached by the two chiefs of Nii Adjetey Obour Bour and Anum Yemo Family of La. The two chiefs have made their intentions clear by showing up at the Oyibi Police Station to defend their claim to the land.

Dr. Ansah stated that the institute has mounted boards on the piece of land to indicate that the encroached lands are not for sale. He also stated that the institute has a writ from the court to demolish illegal strictures on the land.

He therefore does not understand the accusations pointing the CSIR to the sale of the land.
