Children’s Home supervisor in police custody for stealing food

[Ghanacrimes] —- Ms Mawulorm Afelete is currently in police custody for stealing food and other items meant for the Tamale based Nyohni Children’s Home. The supervisor reported herself to the police as she feared the angry mob was going to do her harm.

The residents at the vicinity had been monitoring her activities for a while after series of accusations of her actions had been flying around. She was soon caught and sent to the chief’s palace by the angry mob together with the stolen items but fled for her life and went to the police station.

The stolen items included bags of rice, maize, cartons of beverages Milo and milk, canned tomatoes, fish and weaning foods, cooking oil, noodles, soap, detergents, bottled water, roast meat (beef), among others.
