After his crew stormed a gas station in Gomoa Ojobi and made an attempt to steal a Range Rover there, one person who was thought to be an armed robber was pushed down and killed. On the evening of February 18, a group of six masked, armed individuals stormed the gas station. They fired several warning shots to scare off onlookers and employees before robbing the attendants.
According to a police source, one of the criminals decided to steal the Range Rover that was traveling toward Accra after successfully stealing the gas station, but he was killed when the driver of the car struck him.
However, the other five robbers fled with their cell phones and an unknown sum of cash. Hence, while the Gomoa Dominase Police Command also ordered inquiries into the heist, the accused robber’s remains were deposited at the Winneba Trauma and Specialty Hospital.
