Three other people, including an 80-year-old man, were also found guilty and sentenced to prison for poking a stick into a teenager’s anus. The 16-year-old was charged with breaking into an elderly man’s store in Agogo Market by the convicts. His punishment consisted of the inmates tying his hands and legs to his back, beating him violently, removing his boxer shorts, and forcing a stick into his anus while filming the heinous event.
This occurred on March 12, 2021, in the Ashanti Region’s Agogo, Asante Akim North. Six people were detained for the despicable conduct, including Mr. Francis Obeng Amoako, who was 79 years old at the time. The remaining individuals were Prince Asadu, 26, Akwasi Marfo (Boat), 24, Boakye Dankwah, 65, Osei Bonsu, 53, and Obeng Mensah, 30. Obeng Mensah and Osei Bonsu were exonerated on February 2, 2023, by the Juaso Circuit Court, which was presided over by Her Honor Nana Asantewaa Attakora. The court noted that despite the fact that they were seen on the video, the evidence showed that they were not involved in the act.
According to a local journalist, Yaw Preko of Ahwenepa FM, the remaining four were, nevertheless, given prison sentences of varied lengths. Due to his advanced age and poor health, Mr. Francis Obeng Amoako, who is currently 80 years old, was given a one-year prison sentence. Prince Asadu and Akwasi Marfo (Boat) both received a five-year sentence for aiding and abetting. However, Mr. Boakye Dankwah received a six-month sentence for beating the youngster in the head with his keys while neglecting to ask them to stop the crime from being committed. After undergoing surgery, the victim (name withheld) is currently in good health.
