At Kasoa Millennium City in the Central Region, a 71 year old father Efo Kwasi Joseph has chopped off two fingers off his 11 month old biological son using a carpenter’s saw. The accident took place on March 14, 2023, in the late afternoon.
The suspect’s wife, Juliana Amenasor, claims that she was horrified to watch her infant boy lose his fingers after her carpenter husband brought the youngster to his workshop and chopped his fingers. According to the information acquired, the suspect repeatedly threatened to cut his son’s fingers for money rituals and warned that he would do so, but his wife always rebuked him.
The suspect’s wife stated that the youngster is in excruciating agony and is unable to stop crying in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan. She continued, saying that she needed money for both surgery and to purchase the expensive medications that doctors had prescribed. She pleaded with the public for financial assistance.
In order to act as a deterrence to others, the mother has requested that the Inspector General of Police step in and bring charges against the husband. The Millennium City police have received a complaint of the incident for inquiry. At the time the report was filed, the suspect had not yet been taken arrested.
