A 25-year-old woman is fighting for her life after being attacked and raped by five armed robbers while she was at home in Gomoa Ojobi, in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region. The attackers are thought to be herdsmen.
After assaulting and raping the victim, the suspects headed to Awutu Ahentia and stole over 10 cows, but they were unable to transfer the cows because other herdsmen gave them a close chase.
The accused left their Sprinter bus, which had the registration number GG 2766-21, behind in the Ojobi neighborhood, where several indignant locals vandalized it.
The Fulani Chief of Gomoa Ojobi, Haskan Garu Imorro, described the occurrence as horrifying and barbaric in an interview with Angel News Correspondent, Opanyin Darko.
According to him, the suspects overpowered the woman’s husband by tying him with rope and took his wife to the bush nearby bush and raped her.
