Maame Efua, a 39-year-old lady from the Central Region, committed suicide by hanging herself near Abeadze Kyeakor in the Mfantseman Municipality. During the time the owner was away, the mother of three hanged herself in someone’s kitchen. The dead is thought to have committed suicide about five days ago due to the level of her body’s decay.
According to Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the dead, who was ailing and seeking healing at a prayer camp, left the prayer camp a few days ago until her death. Residents stated they detected a terrible odor on Sunday, June 12, 2022, afternoon and followed the fragrance to see where it was coming from, only to find that it was coming from the wrong way.Her decomposing body was discovered hanging on a rope in the kitchen, with maggots and water leaking from her mouth, nose, ears, and other body parts.
The window was shattered and the door was locked outside, leading the residents to believe she entered the room through the window and killed herself. Mankessim Municipality’s Environmental Health Officer and his team came at the scene and transported the body for burial. For further investigation, the case has been submitted to the Abeadze Domenase Police Command.
