An alleged kidnapping of two children has led to the lynching of a 28-year-old man in Adiembra in the Ashanti region’s Adansi Asokwa District. Isaac Bans, a calm welder, was playing with other kids on Saturday when he was attacked, according to a relative, Eric Addo.
According to Isaac K. Normanyo of Adom News, who described the events, the mother of the deceased’s children accused him of being a thief when she spotted him with them. As soon as neighbors in the area heard his loud cry, they began attacking him.
Mr. Normanyo claims that the perpetrators beat the victim with swords and other sharp instruments. He said Isaac Bans was subsequently dragged to a nearby mechanic shop where his attackers poured dirty oil into his nose until he was unconscious. Meanwhile, the police have since arrested 10 people including the leader of the group, Solonko, and a woman.
